The semester refers to one of the two academic terms in a school year. It can be either the fall semester, which typically runs from August or September to December, or the spring semester, which usually runs from January to May. Each semester is usually around 15-16 weeks long, depending on the school's academic calendar. **

Exams during the online semester are typically conducted through online platforms or learning management systems. Students may be required to log in at a specific time to take the exam or they may have a window of time in which to complete it. Exams may consist of a combination of multiple-choice questions, short answer questions, essays, or other formats. Some exams may be proctored using online proctoring tools to ensure academic integrity. **

It is difficult to predict with certainty whether there will be in-person events at universities in the winter semester of 2021. The decision will depend on the ongoing status of the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccination rates, and public health guidelines. Universities will likely continue to monitor the situation closely and make decisions based on the safety and well-being of their students and staff. It is possible that there may be a combination of in-person and virtual events, or a phased approach to returning to in-person activities. **
